Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress that works in the fields of film, television and theatre. She's best known as Teri Joe, a fiery lawyer on the Showtime series Soul Food. Following her wedding, she was Nikki Kodjoe. Her talent for acting was evident since childhood. Contractor is a Mumbai-born Indian, who lived in Nigeria from the time she was seven years old, had a lot of knowledge about different cultures around the world and was able to travel even at a very young age.
